I just added three small 1913 rail sections to my A1. The handguards are tough! Based on drilling the suckers!
One to mount the front 45 degree back up sight and light pad.
One on right side to mount flashlight
And one on bottom for VFG. Had to file ribs off.
Passed the multiple drop tests right on the added pieced !
Added 1913 rail sections.
