Can wolf still perform maintenance if I don't have a warranty?

Hello, this is my first post.

I recently picked up a brand new wolf upper from a friend, he put some test rounds through it and decided he wanted 18" instead so sold it to me. Trouble is the gas block/ sight base is canted and I want to get it fixed for OCD sake. But he can't find his receipt and Atlantic Firearms is dragging it's feet finding his receipt.

Steve at wolf said to send a proof of purchase and then we would go from there but, as mentioned I might not be able to produce that. So, any other ideas? I'd still like this fixed. The thing is spotless, like out of the box new. I even have the box and manual. can he just charge me whatever is required to fix it? Will he just say sure send it anyway I'll fix it?

Open to any suggestions, thanks.

If it's only canted by a little bit, like 1-3 degrees, punch out the pin an smack the gas block with a rubber/plastic mallet a few times to fix it, then shove the pin back in.
If it's only a few degrees off the gas port should still be aligned. I recently did this to my 16in.
