So I've come across this picture of what appears to be a T91 with some sort of red dot or optic. Which leads me to my question. If the Taiwanese use optics on their rifles, would we ever see those imported to the US?
Taiwanese optics or red dots?

Seems like it's a T86, will check back see it they issue or even produce it. Sometimes press release photos shows prototype but never made it into service equipment.

Upon further research, i also think it may be a t86 but regardless, I'm still curious if the Taiwanese do issue optics of any kind. Preferably red dots is what i'm most interested in.

Apparently Taiwan has a deal with Vortex to supply some scopes which are made in country. There's some good info in this article: https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/201 ... an-strait/
