First time poster, very interested in this upper. Was wondering if it would work with a side charging upper, like the one sold by American Spirit Arms (picture below). Any insight will be appreciated and help with my decision. Thanks.

Simple answer: Not as is, it's going to take some machine work. At a minimum you'd need to mill out the area and drill the hole for the oprod support, then source those parts and install them (the parts could come from the existing upper). A good competent smith that is also a decent machinist could do it.
The bolt carrier is another issue you'd have to examine. Is the side charger compatible with the standard AR bolt carrier? The oprod on the Wolf uses the hole in the normal charging handle as an orifice to operate against the integral bolt carrier "hump". If it has a special way the charging handle interacts with the carrier a the same smith could probably duplicate those features on the Wolf carrier.
