How well does the roll pin iron sight system return to zero?

Has anyone tested to see how close their zero is after removing and reinstalling the front sight? Just curious how close it is once it's tacked back into place. I plan on running fixed irons with Sig Romeo red dot. I just feel like it's cluttered with the front post always on, but I still want the option to practice with irons occasionally. (I use the rear peep on red dot too for my astigmatism.)

There is a small shift but it is negligible for iron sight ranges. I'm talking 1 windage click on MBUS at 300yd.
