Gas block replacement

I had an idea to replace the wolf a1 gas block/front sight with an adams arms low profile gas block or other ar15 piston gas block. The brownells Brn-180 gas block and mlok rail could possibly work with some modification as well. Anybody ever attempted this? I want to hear what people think
