Operator’s manual?

No luck bouncing around forum for op’s manual. Have a question but can’t explain what’s going on for lack of nomenclature of this design. The pin atop of upper receiver in forward position is not fixed and comes out on its on. It appears to be part of piston mechanism dunno though. I know when I go to slinging lead this pin is going to disappear. Forgive me for my ignorance but I’m looking for help and a solution please.

It's a rivet, if you can find a platform or something similar. You can re-peen it back tight again. Your's may not getting enough force to form the locking surface between the area.
Please be careful try not to cause any damage of your upper during the process.
